Canada earned their first-ever men's FIFA World Cup win with a dominant 6-0 victory over Qatar.
Jonathan David starred with a hat-trick, while Cyle Larin and Nathan Saliba also scored as Canada controlled the match from start to finish.
Canada took an early lead and built a comfortable advantage before halftime. Qatar's problems worsened after two red cards reduced them to nine players.
David completed his hat-trick late in the game as Canada continued to create chances and dominate possession.
The win puts Canada in a strong position in Group B. However, the night was overshadowed by a serious injury to midfielder Ismaël Koné, who was taken off after a dangerous challenge.
It was a historic and memorable victory for Canada, while Qatar endured a difficult night and a heavy defeat.
